No email response?

Sep 20, 2013 1:50:08 PM

It has come to our attention that emails may not be getting to us. We check our SPAM folder daily and are good at keeping the inbox tidy by answering all inquires in a timely fashion. Our website doesn't have a confirm your email box when emailing us from the website contact form so do make sure your email address is entered correctly before sending! We have seen some messages bounce back after we try to reply to customers and we can only assume this is the problem. I will get our web guy to fix that, but for now please be aware and call us if you don't receive a response within 48 hrs.

We have been having reports of our flange wiring kits leaking after a few months not just a few days. We were testing them for 5 days soaking them in water, but it is not as telling as we would like. We cannot test them with gasoline because of fuel vapor laws.

At this point we are taking them off of the market so Chris can study what is going wrong. We hope to bring them back out, but there is no ETA at this time. We apologize for this, but we don't want to inconvenience our loyal customers and dealers any further.

Monster Track Tank Update- Paint Job

Feb 19, 2013 5:51:48 PM

Sample tank completed. See link below for pictures of our first attempt at using a material inside the tank to fill the pores and allow us to paint it. The next step is letting gas sit in it and see if it starts to bubble the paint. After we confirm this method works and customers can paint the tanks we will release this new version for purchase. Still hoping for an end of the month completion date.

MTT43 Monster Tank Update

Nov 1, 2012 6:10:07 PM

Big Update! We are replacing the top mold of the tank with one that is to be cut from billet. The drawing is done and an appointment made with the toolmaker! NOW we need to get an S4Rs into our workshop so I can laser scan (and CMM arm scan) under the tank to see what the truth is with that model. The S4Rs got the 1098 fuel flange because it's the one that the newer, cooler bikes are getting. Once we confirm the tank will fit and work on the S4Rs, we'll design and commission a fuel flange that's a bolt on. It'll be at least $100 but will use most/all of the OEM components or we can populate it with our own parts (everything but the level sensor). Thanks, Chris

MTT43 Monster Fuel Tank Update

Jul 13, 2012 7:23:18 PM

Hello Everyone, Thank you again for your continued patience and support. After months of work on the Monster fuel tank resurfacing project, Chris, has decided to scrap the top part of the mold and pay for the design and production of a brand new billet piece to replace it. Unfortunately, there is no ETA on this, but Chris has begun the process today. Hopefully, we can get it done by the end of the year. For those interested in a tank for the S4RS, a fuel flange from an S2R would need to be purchased for the tank to work with your bike, but even then we are not certain it will be 100% compatible. If any of you live in San Diego and would be willing to lend us your S4RS for a brief non-invasive testing session please let us know. Thank you for your understandingRead More

Timing Belt Order Update

Jun 27, 2012 7:46:21 PM

If you did not receive a shipping notification from us about your order today it is because we shipped the backorders in the order received and got through more than half today before UPS picked up. We will finish the rest tomorrow and upgrade shipping speed so your order arrives to you on Friday. We also upgraded the shipping speed for most of today's backorders- free of charge. If you are already on the west coast we may or may not have upgraded your shipping based on if UPS ground would get it there Friday or not. We appreciate all of the support!Read More

Saying Goodbye to USPS

May 2, 2012 3:01:50 PM

Why?

Due to the recent increase in shipping cost with both UPS and USPS we have recently re-evaluated our business plan. USPS has become unreliable in their delivery times and since they lost a few of our packages recently shipped within the U.S. we knew it was time for a change. We are committed to giving you the very best service in every aspect of your purchase with us which is why we have decided to drop USPS all together.

UPS has an amazing group of people working for them that when we reached out for help we were overwhelmed with the response and solutions we received. UPS services have always been our favorite because of the insurance coverage, tracking updates and guaranteed services. With the increase in volume, our amazing customers have given us the ability to negotiate rates with UPS which is another reason we want to turn all shipping business over to them. The more volume we have, the better rates we can pass on to our customers and as always we never charge handling fees.

International Customers

We understand that some of our international customers may have had problems in the past with UPS and their brokerage fees, but with our recent negotiation in rates it should be better. Please also see the explanation of benefits below.

Ideally, we would like to have dealers and distributors carry and sell our Cycleworks products all over the world to avoid having to charge international customers the shipping. We will continue working towards that goal as much as possible. Here is how you can help, if you have a favorite dealer nearby that is open to selling aftermarket parts please let them know we have a dealer/distributor program and have them email us at orders@ca-cycleworks.com for more details. We already have distributors in Australia, Canada and New Zealand please see below for their contact information.

We prefer UPS because they do a better job with tracking, insurance and guaranteed delivery dates.

Benefits:

1.Calling 1-800-742-5877 to pay duty, tax and brokerage before package leaves customs to ensure door to door delivery without delay.

2.Day-definite delivery based on origin and destination

3.Dependable, cost-effective shipping for less-urgent shipments to and from Canada, and from Mexico

4.Door-to-door service

5.Up to three delivery attempts

http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/shipping/time/service/standard.html

Canada Shipments:

Parcels will be shipped under UPS’s e-Tailer Brokerage Program (eBP), where eligible shipments imported into Canada for non-commercial purposes and valued under CAD$ 200 shipped via UPS Standard service are subject to a reduced brokerage fee of CAD$ 10, plus any applicable duties and taxes. Please be aware that UPS will request payment of these charges at the time of delivery. You have the ability to call UPS ahead of time (1-800-742-5877) to pay these charges, eliminating the need for payment on delivery.

UPS brokerage must be used to receive benefits listed above. Use of third party brokers is not recommended.

New hosting company

Nov 1, 2011 5:44:25 PM

Thanks everyone for your patience while we transitioned hosting companies!

Growth is never easy; we outgrew the environment we launched the new website on, but after a year's worth of orders, the database got slower and slower to the point that connecting to our site would take 20 seconds! So we moved to a new hosting company that specializes in MySql driven applications, only these folks couldn't sort out the SSL cert chain problem!

Yesterday, I moved our domain to yet another database specialist hosting company, one that gives its customers cpanel. With cpanel, I was able to handle installing the SSL certificate chain myself and got it done correctly! It feels like now we are back to the functionality we had before this big upset; only now, the site is much much faster.

If you think you fell through the cracks, please touch base with us again... the contact form and order emails are fully operational now.

Thanks!
Chris

SSL certificate

Oct 27, 2011 8:00:00 PM

If you are receiving the SSL error "The site's security certificate is not trusted!" please proceed anyway. We assure you that we pay highly for a secure website and we are working hard with the companies that help us with security to make that error stop. If you are still uncomfortable please call us at 619-501-2466 or email us at orders@ca-cycleworks.com and we will send you a paypal invoice or take a credit card over the phone. So sorry about this!Read More
